heres to comment on the recent PSLE math paper.. news been spreading..
1) students cry
2) parents complain

my take on this issue:
1) If you're wanting calculators and yet the difficulty level unchanged; oh please.. get real! infact recently a Pri 6 girl when asked by me: whats 12+6, she had to search her bag for a calculator to solve it.. haha.. and she aint some EM3 student.. what are we going towards these days?

2) If you're thinking its the end of the world; please go learn on a bell curve in math. cus students in psle are graded based on a bell curve. It really doesnt matter how hard the paper is, the better students will still score better than those who arent that good.. -.-""

sigh.. i am certain these parents are singaporeans.. cant be overseas ppl.. for one reason.. the current generation of parents come from the USA WANNABE generation.. so they think that speaking up is what needs to be done. added with their seriously over enthusiastic singaporean nature of kiasu 'must be first thinking', they end up complaining without thinking.

You see thats one problem with many people. We tend to think wow.. USA ppl do this.. we must follow.. but hey.. USA ppl arent that critical over issue on studies or petty issues.. so effectively if you want to adopt their style, at least do it correctly! *peace.. (:
